As we prepare for Las Vegas, we’ve made enhancements to the onsite registration process.  As an indication of our growth, we have thousands of representatives who need to get their registration materials, and lines are inevitable. However the streamlined process will enable them to move much quicker, but requires preplanning by YOU!.

Everyone will need to have a ticket before getting in line.  You can print it in advance or access it through the my5LINX app.  If they have purchased multiple tickets, you can reassign them ahead of time.

1. Important Las Vegas Registration Announcement!

The onsite registration process has been streamlined to reduce wait time. You will now have the opportunity to print off your registration ticket and bring it with you to expedite the process of picking up your registration materials. Everyone will need to have a ticket with the registration code or have it on the my5LINX app. We simply scan the code, confirm it’s your ticket by matching it to your ID and print off your badge. Badges won’t be replaced so you won’t want to forget it in the hotel or lose it.

Follow these few steps in your VO:

1. Under the Events Tab select Ticket Manager
2. The first ticket is automatically assigned to your RIN. You can print it or email it to yourself.
3. If you have multiple tickets, assign one to another rep or guest by changing it to their name and putting their RIN to the attendance points, if applicable. Save it and it will then appear in their VO. NOTE: If anything should change once you assign it to someone, only you can reassign that guest ticket to someone else. Once you reassign it, make sure the original person you assigned it to is aware that it is no longer valid for their use. Each ticket is unique and can only be assigned to one person.

You can also view your ticket from the my5LINXapp. My Tickets appear under the Event tab. You can only view the code and use it for registration.
You or your guest can now print the registration ticket ahead of time, which means you don’t have to wait in line with them anymore! If it gets lost, just print it again. It’s one ticket per person, no sharing. Once it’s used during the registration process, it cannot be used again.

Another major change is the elimination of the need to wear a wristband to gain access to all the training and general sessions. But you MUST wear your badge, security will be checking for it. Wristbands will be given to those eligible to walk the stage based on their accomplishments.

Remember, planning ahead will save you waiting time!

4. How To Place a Successful 5LINX High Speed Internet/5LINX Satellite TV Order

1) Always start the order process by selecting the product from your personal website and if ordering over the phone, please use the dedicated phone number designated for 5LINX orders. This will ensure that our partners know that your order is associated with a 5LINX representative. If you or your customers use any other number or contact the carrier directly, you will not get credit for the sale.

2) To receive credit for an order the customer must switch providers. Example of a valid order: Joan currently has Cox Communications and wants to switch to AT&T. The key reason that this is a valid order is because she is switching providers. Example of an invalid order. Sam currently has DIRECTV. He cancels his current account with DIRECTV and attempts to re-establish service with DIRECTV through 5LINX. In this example, Sam is not switching providers and as a result, he will not get credit for the sale.

You can review the order status through your personal customer report in your virtual office. Please allow a couple of business days for the order to show up. 5LINX does not work with the carriers directly, so please avoid calling the carrier for an update on the order status. 1. Social Media Best Practices.

We are so excited that so many of you are making waves in Social Media! Recently, we have come across many Facebook group pages that are using the 5LINX logo and the 5LINX name as their default profile picture. Please remember that this is against 5LINX Corporate Policy. You may use a photo of yourself, but not the 5LINX logo. To remind you of some best practices, we have included some social media Do’s &Don’ts.
Do’s:
• Build a strong social network.
- You can’t go wrong with a reliable and knowledgeable online community! But several thousand fans or followers do not necessarily mean you’ve accomplished this. Make sure you are interacting and that these online friends you have acquired are true to you and are conveying your message appropriately and successfully. Don’t forget to make 5LINX and other 5LINX representatives part of your social network and communicate regularly with them on our social media websites!
• Give to get. Upload useful videos, share links and valuable information with your community.
- The more valuable information you share, the more people will share with you.
Take some time every day to reach out to your connections. Write a recommendation on LinkedIn, offer to introduce them to another connection, share an article or news with them. Your connections will surely return the favor!
• Obey 5LINX Policies & Procedures
- The 5LINX Policies & Procedures document further outlines marketing and advertising policies over the internet and on social media websites. Please review this document to make sure you are not violating any 5LINX corporate policy with your marketing or advertising strategies.
Don’ts:
• DO NOT SPAM!
- This is one of the biggest mistakes people use when trying to promote themselves or their business on social media websites. These communities are not meant to provide instantaneous results, but to increase trust, loyalty and awareness over time which will ultimately benefit you the most. Do not copy and paste your opportunity or personal website all over every social media website you can, especially on the 5LINX corporate Facebook page. You will be blocked, de-friended, un-followed, etc. and inevitably you will do more harm than good.
• Avoid blatant marketing tactics.
- People will be turned off by continuous posts about the same thing. Even if they are interested in what you are offering, this approach is usually not appealing to them. If you are constantly selling via social media, people will stop listening. Try offering polls, quizzes or games to engage them!
• Do not be disrespectful
- Remember that you represent your company online even if you’re posting on your personal account. Make sure that your posts will not offend or disrespect anyone who can see it. Also refrain from talking negatively about the company on any social media websites.

1. 5LINX® Announces New Market Expansions of the Residential Energy Program!

The 5LINX Energy Program has announced Residential Electricity through  Massachusetts Gas & Electric. The Massachusetts electricity offerings are now available in the Western Massachusetts Electric Company, NSTAR Electric & Gas Corporation and Massachusetts Electric Company territories. We have also expanded residential energy in the Illinois market, offering electricity in the Ameren territory.  Through our partnership with Direct Energy, electricity offers are available in the Commonwealth Edison and Ameren territories, introducing more options for consumers when choosing a supplier.

In the Pennsylvania, PPL and PECO territories, we now have Residential Electricity offers from American Power Partners and Respond Power.  This means you have more choices on plans and rates when selecting electricity for your home. This is live and available now in the 5LINX Energy enrollment portal!

We are excited to introduce 5LINX Credit Card Processing! Over the next few weeks there will be a change in the Merchant Services tab, it will now be titled 5LINX Credit Card Processing. 5LINX Credit Card Processing still offers the same great benefits, but with an exciting new look! We are also pleased to announce that we now have the ability for our representatives to share the 5LINX Credit Card Processing website in Spanish with potential customers! We are continuously adding more documents for our Spanish speaking reps and their customers. The new and improved site can be accessed through your Virtual Office by clicking on your personal website and selecting the Merchant Services tab, which will soon be changed to 5LINX Credit Card Processing. Be on the lookout for these additions!
