Ian and Stella Chebe came to the US 12 years ago from West Africa to live the American dream. She became a nurse and he taught at Howard University, and both were being taxed with very involved careers. They quickly realized that these jobs would not help them realize their ultimate goals. Soon after, Ian lost his job and they joined 5LINX. According to them, “Today, because of 5LINX, we live the life of our dreams with our three kids.”

They joined 5LINX back in 2005 and discovered that their “why” is to become role models for their kids and to always have the time to be with them. They say, “Our kids and parents are our greatest inspiration. We will run through brick walls for them.”

On the road to PSVP they ran into naysayers and dream stealers but quitting was never an option according to them because, simply yet directly put, “there is more to life than settling for what someone else is saying you are worth.”

Their words of encouragement and advice to others are, “becoming successful in 5LINX will require sacrifices but it’s worth it. Avoid the negatives, stay out of politics and focus on production!”

Their mentors include Double Platinum SVPs Barry Donalson, C. Anthony Harris, Lisa Cloud and Vice President of North American Sales William Faucette. Now, 6 years later, they have the opportunity to realize the goals they had set forth to achieve becoming a reality as well as the dreams for their family coming true.
