Top 10 Weight Loss Tips

1.DRINK WATER: Here’s the rule. You should drink 50% of your body weight in ounces per day. Ex. If you weigh 200lbs, you should drink 100 ounces of water per day. This helps with metabolism, cravings & digestion.

2.GET SOME REST: Your body grows, develops & burns calories in your sleep. I’m infamous for skipping a few hours of sleep but once I became more consistent with sleeping 6-8 hours a day, my results began to come quicker.

3.NO JUICE.NO SODA: Some things are so harmful that you need to quit cold turkey. The amount of sugar in juices &sodas is so extreme that it will become detrimental to your weight loss journey.

4.PORTION CONTROL: As a child I was always taught “not to waste food” & “finish your plate”. Well that old school methodology is what got me fat. Put smaller portions on your plate, so if you need to feel that sense of accomplishment, you won’t be stuffed & uncomfortable.

5.CONDIMENTS WILL KILL YOU: Salad dressing, ketchup, mayonnaise, butter, old bay, season salt, sugar all taste great but all. Are either high in calories or sodium & are just bad for your health.

6.SNACK HEALTHY: Let go of the chips, cookies, candy, crackers, and switch to almonds, cashews, fruit and 100 calorie popcorn.

7.DEATH TO DAIRY: Milk, cheese, yogurt & dairy based coffee creamers. Let it all go. Switch to almond milk and non lactose based products.

8.HALF PLATE OF VEGGIES RULE: Eat those veggies! Broccoli and asparagus are natural diuretics. Mixing in spinach or other green veggies is good too. Just remember as you fill your plate, half your plate should be veggies and the other half should be mostly protein.

9.EAT CARBS EARLY: Carbs are not the devil. Just stay away from empty carbs like white bread. However, if you must eat carbs. Eat them earlier in the day so your body has time to break it down and burn it off.

10.MEAL PREP: The best way to ensure you are consistent is to prepare your meals in advance for the week. So, on Sunday night you should prepare your meals for the week.
